City in India

Udaipur, located in southwest Rajasthan at the base of the Aravali mountain range, is known by many nicknames such as “City of Lakes” and “Venice of the East”. It was once the historic capital city of Mewar kingdom in Rajputana. The beauty of this city can be seen through its four stunning lakes — Lake Pichola, Fateh Sagar Lake, Udai Sagar, and Swaroop Sagar.

Udaipur is a popular destination for weddings and tourists alike, thanks to its stunning palaces and tranquil lakes. One of the most famous monuments in the city is the City Palace of Udaipur, as well as Sajjan Garh Palace which was built by Maharana Sajjan Singh from the Mewar Dynasty. The palace earned itself the nickname Monsoon Palace due to its location atop a hill where one can admire monsoon clouds rolling over it.

Lake Pichola is a popular tourist spot in Udaipur, India. It has four stunning islands: Jag Niwas, home to the iconic Lake Palace hotel; Mohan Mandir, where the king would watch Gangaur festival festivities; Jag Mandir palace island; and Arsi Vilas bird sanctuary. A boat trip from City Palace to these enchanting islands should not be missed!

Take a spiritual journey to the Eklingji Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Nathdwara, home of Lord Krishna. Pay your respects at these sacred sites and make lasting memories on this pilgrimage.

If you are planning to stay in Udaipur for an extended period, be sure to take some time out of your schedule and explore Kumbhalgarh, Mount Abu, Chittorgarh, and Jalore Wildlife Sanctuary. These sites offer a wealth of history and beautiful scenery that should not be missed!

Best time to visit

Udaipur is a great destination to visit when the weather is at its best. The ideal time to plan your trip would be between September and March, as temperatures are mild during this period. Enjoy exploring the city’s rich culture while taking in all that it has to offer!
